“After indulging in my glutinous delights for both food and culture. I found myself being drawn to what I caught on a high casted wind, to be what twas a tasty mezcal aroma. I then began to look in disbelief as I was lifted and therefore floating toward my next destination, like that of cartoon characters of old. After my resurrection as I hit the door of what was a blissful Mezcaleria, I was welcomed in more so than valkyries in Valhalla to an enchanting bruha coven of alchemists. Whom there then enchanted me into such delicious delights, I felt as if I was a Saudi Prince stumbling upon an oasis in the desert. Having said that, parking validation was not up to snuff. I will only be giving this venue 5 stars”

“What a vibe! Cozy up at the bar with a mezcal tasting and feel like you’re being hosted by a group of friends. The owner and bartender are so welcoming and it’s a great place to meet new people. Aesthetics - poleroid photos of party friends lining the walls, moody red lighting, buzzy chitchat, + look up while sitting at the bar and the vaulted ceiling cone makes you feel like you’re inside a disco ball volcano 🪩🌋”

“I was searching on Google for a place to try different Mezcals and this was the place. Be sure to go into the very back of the bar and there you'll find a small atmospheric room with three knowlegeable women who are super into Mezcal and are happy to share their knowledge. I had a delightful conversation with them and learned they were international bartenders from the US and recently opened this place in Antigua out of their passion for Mezcal. They buy small batches from locally sourced farmers in Oaxaca and once it's gone, it's gone. Hence the name 86 (which is the word bartenders use when something is no longer in stock). You can sample different Mezcals and if you like one in particular, you can purchase of flask that they'll fill up for you. Going here was one of my highlights of my visit to Antigua. I hope you get to go too.”
